THE BAND
From the swamps of south Louisiana comes the infectious music that will haunt you ever after opening yourself to the sounds of Wicked Waters.
Wicked Waters was established in 2003 as a classic rock band that would dabble in other genres, such as country. Our goal was to play cover music as close to the original as possible that would actually make you re-live great times in the past. We attempt to play songs in a way that would make the original artists proud. We all have full-time jobs and play music simply to entertain. Members have changed through the years, and that has only improved the band. We now cover most types of country and rock for a great variety of music that seems to please any crowd. Current members are: Donny Blood on Vocals, Keith Camardelle on Drums and Backing vocals, Marcus Vela on Lead Guitar and Backing Vocals, and Marty Brown on Bass. Other members of the past include: Justin Giles, Jody Despain, currently lead guitarist for Anxiety, and the late...great...Phil Landreneaux, who was a big influence in the early years of the band and creator of our band logo. He has been greatly missed, but Marty Brown has been the best replacement we could ask for. Currently, Wicked Waters is at the top of its game and wants to spread our great sound wherever needed. We love to entertain and haven't had a dissatisfied customer as of yet. Hopefully, we will see y'all soon.
The Guys
Donny Blood, 45 years old. Grew up in Bayou Chicot, LA. Registered Nurse for 24 years. Vocalist for 25 years. I Sang in various local bands such as Revelation, DV8, and now currently lead vocals in Wicked Waters. Enjoy singing various types of music such as Outlaw, Classic and new country, and various types of rock from 1970s-2000's.
Keith Camardelle, 56, Birthplace New Orleans, LA Started playing drums at age 12 in the school band. Formed first band, "Xenon," at age 15 in high school. Favorite genres include Classic & Progressive Rock, such as Rush, Yes, Led Zeppelin, and Van Halen. Also metal, modern rock, and even Country. "If it's good, I like it!!". Been a drummer and backup vocalist for Wicked Waters for the past 15+ years. Had a blast & looking forward to many more shows with these guys!! Play Tama drums and Sabian and Zildjian cymbals.
Marcus Vela, 37, is the lead guitarist for Wicked Waters. Born in Corpus Christi, TX, his main musical influences growing up were Creed and Metallica. Marcus has 22 years of experience and has been in 3 other rock bands such as East of Eden, Agnes Nash, and Destination Sanity. During this time, Marcus has not only shared the stage with many local bands in the South TX/LA area but also up-and-coming bands such as After Midnight Project and Skindred.
Marty Brown, 38, Is the bassist for Wicked Waters. Born and raised in Ville Platte, La. Marty took up the bass after many other instruments but cut his teeth playing in front of hundreds at church playing bass. Right out of high school, Marty was a part of the band Common Doubt which was on the brink of signing a label but moved away for school. Marty also got to share a stage with a few upcoming bands. Marty went on to many other bands and then fell into WW when the previous bassist had to withdraw. Hobbies are God, Guns, Family, and of course anything LSU.
